Eric and Alice are amazing and adorable! They were cracking me up the entire time we were hanging out. They are currently stationed in upstate New York so I asked if they would be interested in heading up to Montreal for an engagement session. They love Montreal and loved the idea! The only problem was they forgot to tell me that they were going to bring the rain. The entire time they were there it was raining and as soon as they headed out of town it stopped. I mean what kind of luck is that!?! But we had an awesome time anyways- we met up at the Distillerie for some yummy drinks in giant mason jars. The next day we headed to St. Joesph’s Oratory and Temple which was absolutely amazing and humongous!! Good thing I brought my pink umbrella! Then in case we weren’t wet enough and as a special surprise I brought out two water guns which just made Eric and Alice light up!

Matt and Max met in high school spent a couple years apart then found each other again and now are in love!! They were adorable to watch – one minute hilariously making fun of each other the next a romantic sweet kiss! We met up in Matt’s old neighborhood in Greensboro. Then grabbed a beer for a long chat and a good laugh! Max is a super awesome photographer and knitter and Matt is on his way to get his phd in comparative literature. They are getting married next year in an adorable farm outside of Raleigh NC. And I can not wait!

A Castle Wedding in Greensboro, NC: Jason + Andrea

Jason and Andrea are the sweetest thing. When they see each other Jason just lights ups and Andrea gets the giggles!! It’s so fun to get to see the interact with each other you can really tell they are in love. I have known Andrea since I was little so it’s pretty interesting to watch her grown into a beautiful woman. It was an absolute honor to be asked to photograph her wedding – they are like a second family to me. Watching Jason and Andrea reminded me of the importance of why we get married, the commitment, and how family and friends really connect at the beautiful time in our lives. They were married at the Crystal Gardens of McColluch Castle in Greensboro. They partied, got a little crazy, had amazing dance moves, and then ended the night with a ride off in a rolls royce (a surprise by her daddy!).

The Love Knot: Andrea and Jason tied this during the ceremony to represent their relationship with each other and God.

The girls vs the boys dance off was hilarious!!

Traveling and Montreal!

So we made it to Montreal! And we are in love!! Although Matthew was slightly disappointed at the border patrol- they did not even look at our passports after we had to stay an extra day in Virginia because we forgot them in Savannah. Check out our days from the ride up through Vermont, the Botanical Garden, and Jean Talon Market.

What we have learned so far: it’s fun to be in a country were everyone speaks your language but does talk in it (it’s romantic in a way!), ketchup chips are super yummy, coffee every where is good, Rollin is in love with all of the fuzzy black dogs at the dog park, everyone here is super active, public transportation on a bike is super awesome, the naada yoga studio was amazing, catching up and relaxing was an amazing idea- we feel so much better!!

New do for a new adventure!

Last friday I came in the door and totally surprised Matthew by cutting off all my hair. I love surprising him- I think he almost had a heart attack when he saw me. I have been waiting to donate it to Locks of Love for a while and it was finally long enough. The wonderful Renata at Park West Salon was amazed by my hair and got very excited about the transformation. She was cracking me up and in no time bam hair gone!

We are about to head to Montreal for our three week vacation to celebrate our fifth anniversary and I’m so excited!! I can’t wait- I will be updating the blog with pictures of our adventure. And be on the look out we are about to have a whole new branding look as well as a name change. Exciting new things happening!!!

adorable camping adventure with Katherine + Mike

So Katherine is one of my oldest friends and I love her dearly. You know when she is around there will be a good time – and that she will always be late!! We met back at Mississippi State while both of us were studying photography under the strict Marita Gootee. We had a lot of good times together, she was even a bridesmaid in my wedding. And now it is her turn to get married to the wonderful Mike!! Who I have just really gotten to know and I think they are a pretty good pair. I know that Mike has to be one of the most patient people because Katherine sure is a hand full!! But they are so sweet together. Recently they moved to Athens so we decided to meet in the middle of no where Georgia at Hamburg State Park and do a camping photo shoot. They met while out on a camping adventure. I am so excited about their wedding! I can’t wait to see Mike in his three piece suit and bow tie and all the amazing details that Katherine is putting together.

Okay I just love this picture of Matthew and Rolldog!! While out camping for our photo shoot with Katherine and Mike I looked over and thought they looked adorable! The Ranger at Hamburg State Park told us there were alligators in the water and that dogs were like prime rib to them. So Matthew and Rollin were on the look out for them. Too cute!! Needless to say no one saw any of them..
